I had a great time studying at the APhil masters and I highly recommend the program to anyone looking to do advanced research in contemporary analytic philosophy. The inter-university nature of the program means that you will have access to a wealth of internationally recognized researchers specializing in most areas in contemporary philosophy — with excellent instruction in both theoretical philosophy (i.e. metaphysics, language, and epistemology) as well as practical philosophy (ethics, political philosophy, and philosophy of action). The program allowed me to develop competency in areas of philosophy I had not studied as an undergraduate (such as pragmatics and social epistemology) as well as pursue my main research interests in ethics and political philosophy at a higher level. Overall, the program was an excellent way to prepare for my current doctoral studies.
