— To work out and develop the main subjects of study related to the methodological, axiological and logical aspects of science.

— Developing the capacity for study and rigorous analysis of scientific practices, methods, results and values.

— To present attitudes of reflection and critical assessment of research, content and scientific developments.

Methodology

The methodology and organization of the course are based on the integration of in-person teaching and learning in the context of master classes along with pupil-teacher meetings, tests and exercises or directed works, and autonomous study and learning. In application of the Equality Plan of the University of Barcelona, the content of the course (structure content; issues raised; bibliography; exercises or assignments) will incorporate, as far as possible and depending on the subject matter deployed by each teacher, gender issues.

Evaluation

Ongoing assessment

It will consist of two or more tests or exercises, none of which can exceed 60% of the weight in the final note. Students' participation in the classroom can be positively taken into account.

Single Assessment

It consists of a test or final work. Students' participation in the classroom can be positively taken into account. If applicable, the deadline for applying for a single assessment is specified in the program made public by the teacher at the beginning of the course.

Reassessment

Students who have obtained a minimum final grade of 3 can opt for the resit exam/assignemnt if they fail.
